
Dutch Almond CookiesFrom A Place of Peace
1 cup shortening Cream shortening with white and brown sugar. Add eggs and work in sifted dry ingredients. Add chopped almonds. Shape dough into long rolls. Roll in wax paper and cover with cling wrap to keep in moisture. Chill in refrigerator for 12 hours. Slice thin. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
